This combined device offers three USB 3.0 ports with Plug & Play functionality and standard USB charging—the HUB can automatically recognize if a device is connected for charging via USB. The USB 3.0 interface is especially important for data transfers from memory cards and USB 3.0 flash drives, where you will fully appreciate its high transmission speed. The HUB is bus-powered and has built-in overcurrent protection to safeguard your computer in the event of a short circuit in peripheral devices. Additionally, it is, of course, backward compatible with USB 2.0.
