This USB Type-C Multiport Adapter with DP 1.4 Alt Mode, DSC, and MST supports dual HDMI® (HDR) video at resolutions up to 4K 60Hz uncompressed. The mini travel dock turns your Dell XPS, Lenovo X1 Carbon, HP Elite/ProBook, or other USB-C laptop into a workstation, wherever you go. The USB-C docking station offers two HDMI outputs, a 2-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A hub (5Gbps), including a BC 1.2 port to power and charge a USB peripheral, SD and MicroSD card readers, and a Gigabit Ethernet port, all through a single connection to your laptop's USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4™ port. Additionally, it offers advanced charging via USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 pass-through, using an integrated 30cm USB-C host cable, for greater configuration flexibility.

High-Performance Dual HDMI Video via MST

The compact docking station connects your laptop to two HDMI monitors, creating a powerful workstation. It is compatible with DP 1.4 Alt Mode with DSC and MST, for uncompressed video performance of up to dual 4K (3840 x 2160p) at 60Hz, depending on your host computer. The dock also supports the use of ultrawide monitors.

Video performance, such as resolution and refresh rate on both monitors, depends on your host computer and video driver. A source device with DisplayPort 1.4 support, paired with DSC and DP 1.4 enabled HDMI displays, is required to achieve dual 4K 60Hz. Please check the specifications of your computer and displays to determine the expected video performance. StarTech.com conducts rigorous performance testing with major computer models.

PD 3.0 features Fast Role Swap (FRS) which prevents USB data disruption when switching power sources (e.g., from a USB-C power adapter to bus power).
