This 7-port 5Gbps USB hub adds seven USB Type-A ports to a computer, with the added benefit that each port has an independent on/off switch. The USB hub is self-powered via an included power adapter. It connects to a USB-A or USB-C port on a laptop or desktop computer.
Seven On/Off Switches
The seven ports on the USB hub feature an on/off switch that allows you to disconnect power from the computer to the connected device when it is not in use. This means you can deactivate individual USB ports to reduce power consumption without having to physically unplug the device or cable. Additionally, this feature ensures privacy by disabling cameras or external data storage devices containing sensitive information when they are not in use.
Power and Charging USB Devices
The USB hub is self-powered and features an included 65W power adapter. This allows the seven ports of this USB hub to be BC 1.2 compliant, providing 1.5A (7.5W) of power simultaneously (52.5W total), making it ideal for charging battery-powered USB devices such as smartphones and tablets while providing a data connection. The USB hub will supply power whether or not a host computer is connected, and it supports CDP (Charging Downstream Port) and DCP (Dedicated Charging Port) applications.
Add Seven USB Ports to Connect USB Devices
The 7-port USB hub expands the computer's USB connectivity, adding seven USB-A ports from a single USB-A or USB-C port. The USB hub is backward compatible with USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) devices, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of modern and legacy USB devices such as external storage (USB flash drives, HDD/SSD hard drives), HD cameras, mice, keyboards, webcams, and USB headsets.
5Gbps USB is also known as USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 3.0.
Simple Plug-and-Play Installation
The 7-port USB hub is OS-independent and compatible with all operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, iPad OS, and Android, and installs automatically when connected to a computer. To ensure broad compatibility with USB host devices, individual 1m USB-A and USB-C host cables are included.
