This USB-C hub with USB-C DP Alt Mode output and 100W USB Power Delivery pass-through adds four USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) ports (3x USB-A, 1x USB-C) to a USB-C enabled computer. The USB hub supports USB-C DP Alt Mode on the downstream USB-C port, allowing for the connection of USB-C portable monitors or desktop displays. Connect the USB hub to a laptop USB-C port, using the built-in 30cm USB-C host cable. Charge a host laptop by connecting the host laptop's USB-C power supply to the USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 port. Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) devices ensures compatibility with a wide range of modern and legacy USB peripherals (e.g., external storage devices: USB flash drives, hard drives/SSDs, HD cameras, mice, keyboards, webcams, and audio headsets). The USB hub is Wake on USB compatible and features a compact design, which facilitates portability when traveling.

USB-C DP Alt Mode Video Output

This USB hub's downstream USB-C port supports both 10Gbps data transfers and USB-C DP Alt Mode, with support for resolutions up to 4K 60Hz. This allows users to connect both a USB data peripheral and a USB-C portable or desktop monitor. The USB-C port outputs 12W (5V/2.4A) of power to support portable USB-C monitors or to power and charge other USB peripherals. This integration is especially valuable for improving productivity in professional environments and providing video performance or 10Gbps USB, depending on user needs.

USB Power Delivery Pass-Through

This USB hub features USB Power Delivery 3.0 pass-through (up to 100W). Connect a power supply to the PD pass-through port to power the host, the hub, and an external display, and to enable full charging capability for the USB peripheral ports. PD 3.0 features Fast Role Swap (FRS) to prevent USB data disruption when switching power sources (USB-C power adapter to bus power).

Power the hub using a connected USB-C power adapter or via bus power alone. The hub requires up to 18W of power. This power is shared dynamically between the downstream ports. For added protection of this USB hub and the connected host device, the USB hub incorporates overcurrent protection (OCP). OCP prevents faulty USB peripherals from drawing more power than is safely allocated to them.

This device is compatible with major operating systems, including Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iPadOS, and Android. The hub is automatically detected, configured, and installed when connected to a host computer. This ensures automatic installation and setup with any USB-C laptop, including Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, and USB4 computers such as Apple MacBook (Intel/M1/M2), Lenovo X1 Carbon, and Dell XPS.
