Have you recently purchased a new laptop or Ultrabook and don't know where to connect your favorite headset?

Most recent laptop and Ultrabook models come equipped with a single 4-position (4-pin) 3.5mm audio port that supports both audio input and output. A large number of headsets available on the market come equipped with two individual connectors for headphones and a microphone that are not compatible with this new configuration.

The MUYHSMFF adapter includes two 3-position 3.5mm ports that allow for separate headset/microphone connections and connects to the single audio port on your laptop. Alternatively, you can also connect a separate microphone and powered speakers if you prefer to communicate via Skype or chat online without a headset.

Headset/Microphone Connectivity

Simply plug the headphone connector into the audio output port labeled with the headphone symbol and plug the microphone connector into the audio input port labeled with the microphone symbol. Connect the adapter to the laptop's audio port and you're ready to go!

Connectivity for Microphone and Powered Speakers

The adapter also allows you to connect a microphone and powered speakers to a laptop. Simply connect the microphone to the audio input port labeled with the microphone symbol and connect the powered speakers to the audio output port labeled with the headphone symbol, then connect the adapter to the laptop's audio port.

Note:

This adapter is not a splitter or Y-cable for a headset. It cannot be used to split the audio output for two separate headsets or sets of speakers.

Some mobile devices or laptops may not work with all external microphones. This is generally due to a mismatch between the impedance of the microphone and the device. This is a hardware incompatibility and not a limitation of the MUYHSMFF adapter.
