The slim Cat6 patch cable is 36% thinner than standard Cat6 Ethernet cables, allowing for increased airflow and better heat dissipation in tight spaces. The slim Cat6 Ethernet cable is also more flexible, making it easier to route the cable through crowded network racks and patch panels.

The Cat6 Slim cable features 50-micron gold RJ45 contacts that ensure a precise fit to minimize wear and signal loss. The 4-pair unshielded twisted pair (UTP) construction uses 28 AWG bare copper wire to improve conductivity and reduce resistance. The flexible Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) flame-retardant jacket emits low smoke and toxic gases when exposed to extreme heat or in the event of a fire. This allows for safer installations in poorly ventilated areas, such as some industrial environments, self-contained environments like trains and airplanes, as well as residential environments where building code compliance must be considered.

The Slim CAT6 patch cable has been tested to meet the requirements of the ANSI/TIA 568 C.2 standard to ensure Cat6 performance. The cable is Fluke-tested to ensure minimal Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) and Return Loss (RL).
